I'm looking for the parents of my great grandmother,Sarah Rebecca Smith b 1862 Johnson co ,Ar. She was cherokee. She had an older brother named John and sister Jenny. Sarah Rebecca married James Madison Rackley. They moved to Ok and some Smith's went to Texas, I know nothing of John or Jennie. I know that there was a Dr, Elmer C Smith that practiced naturopathic medicine around Dallas, Tx and later lived in Fritch ,Tx. I know that Sarah's father was hung by bushwhackers , but don't know where or when. She was born in Coal Hill, Johnson Co. but we haven't been able to find her between then 1862 and her marriage in Johnson c0 1877. We believe her mother may have remarried and moved to another county .She is somehow related to the Watson's in Ark, just don't know which ones. Will Watson is listed as her nephew living with her and James in 1880, but she said he was her half-brother, We can't find anything to confirm that, Any help would be greatly appreciated.
