Crows in Hempstead County

My research so far has gotten back to my great great grandfather, James Walter Crow, born somewhere in Virginia around 1800. He married Keziah M. Cornelius in Union County Illinois on 30 September 1821. Some time later they moved to Hempstead County Arkansas. James Walter and his Wife, Keziah M. Cornelius are buried in Hempstead County Arkansas. They had at least 6 sons James William, Levi J, Reuben, Thomas, Nicolas K (my great grandfather), and Jesse Jackson Crow. All their sons enlisted in the 20th Texas Calvary during the Civil War. Those who survived the war settled in the central Texas area and began their families. They settled mainly in the counties of Van Zant, Coryell, Bell, Swisher, Johnson, and Kaufman.
