Hi Jack & Barbara,
Just wanted to offer a little help if I can. I am a Hope native and was a member of the Hempstead Co. Genealogical Society. I have a couple of books that may have some information you could use. I have the 1870 census of Hempstead Co., 2 lineage books of members, And 2 of the cemetery books. They have read all the cemeteries they heard about. I helped read a lot of them when I lived there. My email address is vatthepoint@aol.com I will try to help all I can. All the books they have printed are in the County library there in Hope. It is located on So. Elm St. the zip is 71801.
