thanks for getting in touch with me. per the info you give here, it does seem possible that this was richard harris, wife, sarah's son, g.b. harris, who married susan and was still there in 1880.

you are the first person i have heard from interested in the family there in arkansas.

do you know who g.b harris' wife, susan, was?

i cannot tell you definitely that richard harris' wife, sarah, was an ingram, except this is what the info definitely indicates.

sarah actually died after 1860 and richard harris remarried emeline, widow, of jasper wright, who was living adjacent richard harris/ sarah, per both the 1850 census itawamba co, ms and 1860 census greene co, ar.

we think emeline was also a sister of sarah. they returned to cleburne co, al.

in 1870 emeline, called rachel e., was living with her children in cleburne co, al with mary ingram.

so, we think, again, that both sarah and emeline were sisters and daughters of martin and mary peek ingram of cleburne co, al.

i would appreciate hearing more from you. this would be great to find a descendant of richard harris, wife, sarah, there in arkansas and someone interested in them.

you can email me at if you would like for us to go into this in more detail.
