I am looking for information on my maternal great-grandmother, Tennie York, who was an orphan living with the Mr. Richard H. Buchanan family in the Cache Township, Greene County, according to the 1900 U.S. Census. Richard's wife's name was Lucy C. They had one daughter, Enie, and two sons, Frank and John B. Tennie was listed last as an orphan born December 1888 and was 11 years old at the time.
Richard was born September 1862 in Mississippi.
Tennie was listed as being born in Arkansas. Her mother and father were listed as being born in Arkansas as well.
Tennie supposedly had two sisters, Froney and Frances.
Any information you might be able to provide in assisting me in learning Tennie's parents names will be greatly appreciated.
