Here's a link to the online records at FamilySearch:

You may have to cut and paste that for the link to work.

Here's the info for this household in case the link doesn't work:

William Glasgow, age 24 birthplace TN farmer
father's birthplace VA mother's birthplace VA

Sarah Glasgow, wife, age 35 birthplace TN keeping house father's birthplace TN Mother's birplace TN

James Williams stepson (evidently Sarah's son by a previous marriage) 13 laborer birthplace TN
father born TN Mother born TN

This is from the 1880 census for Oak Bluff, Clay County, Arkansas. Sure wish the 1890 census still existed. There are so many people that die in the twenty years between the 1880 census and the 1900 census. But you might want to check Clay County in 1900 and see if the Glasgows are still there. That might be further evidence one way or another as to whether this is the right Glasgows. Really the only circumstantial evidence in their favor is they live so close to Sarah Langley who I suspect is our "aunt sary."

If you go up a couple of households, you'll find Sarah Langley living with Mary Langley, a widow. And a few households down - the Lells with a Perry Self and Rachel Self. I'm not sure if this is my Rachel but my uncles can remember a cousin named Perry Self and I wouldn't think that name was that common so again I suspect these people are related to my Selfs.

Unfortunately, it's all circumstantial evidence that these people are related somehow, based on family history and supposition. I just wish I could pin down the relationships. Please let me know if you find any birth info that tells us Sarah Glasgow's maiden name. That might help a lot in tying the various families together.

Please keep in touch.
