Dave,

I want you to know, you are my first break-through on the Taylors. I am actually from Paragould, AR and my parents grew up in Beech Grove. I knew my Ggrandmother Belle Taylor Cooper, John's daugher. I don't believe I am related to the Cecil Johnson you mentioned, but I'll search further to see. My grandfather Herbert Johnson, was born in 1900, so their ages were very close.

Let me give you the information I do have on the Taylors. I have a book "History of Greene County", which was states the Beech Grove Methodist Church was organized about 1850, Geroge Taylor and wife, Naoma were listed as chartaer members. That church still exists.

John and Sarah Caroline Breckenridge had the following children:

Drew Taylor
Vera Taylor Stallcup
Ambrose Taylor
Zelma Taylro Hodge
Silvia Taylor LaFernere

He married again and had the following daughters:

Vesta Taylor Thomas
Daisy Taylor Morrow (I believe she is still living somewhere in Oklahoma).

I have a picture of John (listed as Pa Taylor), when he is older, with his grown children.

Did you know your grandfather? I have somewhere that the name was actually George Washington Taylor.

Do you know George I war record?

I still have several relatives living in Beech Grove. I go there every year for the Cooper family reunion. I will try to get some of you questions ansered, but for some reason we didn't have a lot of information on the Taylors.

Belle (we called her Mommy Belle), was a wonderful person, the true matriarch of our family.

Thanks for you information, I look forward to swapping more info.

Kim
