I known very little about William McClung. The information I have was obtained primarily from his son's (Rubin Alexander) obit which stated that he was the son of William McClung who I later found was b. 1838 in Alabama.

His children were: 1852 Rubin Alexander, c1854 Poebe McClung Bratton, c1857 Tec McClung Hill and c1860 Elizabeth McClung.
