My family is not kin to Hiram Clark (I don't think), but I have land records where Hiram bought some land from my gr gr grandfathers (Samuel P Campbell) children after he (Samuel)died. The deed is dated 1898. All of Samuel's kids were in Texas when the land was sold. Seems Hiram owned adjacent land to Samuel and when Samuel died, his children sold part of the land to Hiram.

I do have some Clark ancestry, but don't think mine are the same as yours. I'll have to dig through my Clarks to be sure.
