Great tips. A friend and I have in the past commented on pictures in funeral programs, some likely 40-50 years old, with a likeness many of the living have never seen.
Having recently gone through this preparation for my sister's program, we ended up using a picture that was nearly 30 years old.... but it was a nice, clear picture, and was a likeness that many of her old acquaintances would recognize. Maybe that's what other folk said too! :-)
