The Garland County Library has microfilm of the local paper back to 1929. Some of them are faded and dim, but usually you can read them. The address is 1427 Malvern Ave, Hot Springs, AR (not sure of zip code.) Phone # is (501) 623-4161. I don't know if anyone on staff does any sort of research, but you might want to call and ask.
