Looking for information regarding the Meltons in Franklin Co. from 1850 forward.
On the 1850 Franklin Co census, I find Elisha Melton, 87 (VA)and wife Nancy 65 (NC) living near Andrew and Elizabeth Melton with John and Harriett Thompson family between. There are several other Meltons in the vacinity.
Anyone know the details of Elisha's family? And do any of you know what happened to the marriage of Andrew and Elizabeth as I find her married to Robert Davis subsequent censuses?
