Searching Faulkner Co., AR. I am hoping to contact someone who might have known a RUSSELL family or relatives of a RUSSELL family that lived near Little Rock, Arkansas in the 1920s-1940s. Does anyone recognize any of the following names? I'm looking for Nathaniel Russell, b. about 1800 in KY. He may have been called Nathan, Naith, Nate or Nace. Nathaniel Russell was the father of John W. Russell of Miller County, Missouri. John W. was a noted hunter and outdoorsman. He was the father of JOHN F.; ELMER E.; JAMES WILEY; NATHANIEL; and BEDE RUSSELL. JOHN F. RUSSELL was the father of the twins, NEDDIE and EDDIE (Ned and Edward) RUSSELL who were good looking, rough and ready boys. They had cousins living in the Little Rock area and visited them about 1941-42 when the twins were about 28-29 years old. JOHN F. RUSSELL also visited in Arkansas about that time and again a few years later. Thomas W. RUSSELL lived in Pacific, MO. and was a cousin of John F. and Elmer E. Russell of Miller County, MO. At Valley Park, near St. Louis were Wesley Russell, Rosella "Rosie" (Russell) Smith and Ada (Russell)(Lilly) Fanning. Eavie (Russell) Beal lived in Miller County, MO. Nearby, in Pulaski County, there was John E Russell, Alonzo A Russell, Edwin H Russell, William E Russell, and William H Russell - all buried in Dixon Cemetery. In Cole (later Miller) County, Missouri were Alexander Mayfield Russell and Susan "Sukie" (Russell) Pitchford. They were relatives of the Hiram Buckner Russell line, after whom Russellville, MO was named. My only hope of locating Nathaniel Russell is to find someone who has some knowledge of the family in Missouri or recognizes some of these names. Any help appreciated. Thank you, Shirley - please contact me direct - Mim@grnet.com
