Eugene,
Snow Lake is located in North Desha County.
It is in an area called Laconia Circle. This
area is surrounded by a levy. Snow Lake is
on the northwest side of the circle. Mt. Olive Church is on the outskirts of the town.
Grum Grove Cemetery is about 2 miles S.E. of
Snow Lake.
My GGGrandfather (Ephriam Dawson Overton) is also buried somewhere in the Laconia Circle area. A distant cousin plans to visit the area in the near future.
I have a 1961 Mississippi River map that clearly identifies the area. Can fax or send
