Looking for any information on the McElroy's of Cross County but most particularly, Lycurgus McElroy. Lycurgus was born in 1850 in Cross County to John McElroy and Mary Stevenson McElroy who came to Cross/St. Francis County in 1848. John and sons Andrew, William B. and John C. all owned land in the community of McElroy. Need information on Lycurgus!!!! He was alive in 1865 for the reading of his fathers will but can't be found afterward. My ggrandfather was his son William Gideon McElroy born 1876. Would like to know when Lycurgus died and who he married. He is supposed to be buried in the McElroy cemetary. Any information would be greatly appreciated!!!
