Hardy T. Grider Family

Looking for anyone with info on the origins of the Hardy T. Grider family of Cross Co., AR. This is an African-American family. Found info on the Internet referring to the military service of Hardy T., Jr. a his 2 sons. I am a Grider/Gryder family researcher and have found very little concerning African-American Grider ancestry. I am compiling a database of Grider/Gryders and want to make sure I have this group of Griders connected into the tree. I imagine that their ancestry goes back to slave owners probably in KY. Would love to add this vital info to my research for the generations. I am white. My ggggg grandfather was Conrad Grider of Lincoln Co., NC. He was somehow related, (probably a nephew) to the Griders of Burke Co., NC that fought in the Rev. War.
I hope someone can help with this family.
Thanks,
Ray Gryder, II
