I am attempting to find a record of my grandparents marriage.
They lived in Memphis TN but they married in Marion AK, ... My grandfather would laugh and say he had to "carry her over the state line" so she'd have to marry him.
I have no actual date only being told by my grandmother and her sisters that she was 20 when she married. Well she turned 20 in Oct of 1926 and my mother was born in Jan 1928.So I figure they wed between Oct 1926 and April 1927 [I hope ;]].
I never recall my grandparents celebrating an anniversary or their birthdays either... ours yes, theirs no.
I live in Texas and cannot get to Marion to research this. Is there anyone who can help me.Thank you.
