Abner N. Welch and his wife America Welch died in Craighead Co., Arkansas and were buried in Pine Hill Cemetery. I am seeking the maiden name of America Welch born 1837/1839 in Tennessee. Their children were Jane b. 1859 AR, Sophia b. 1867 AR, Andrew J. b. 1866/1868 AR married Nora "Elnora" (mnu), Susan E. b. 1871 AR married Walter Monroe Stephens, America E. b. 1873 AR, Mary Martha "Mattie" b. 1879 AR married William W. Pierce, and Ollie (female) b. 1882 AR married William H. Johnson. Would there be an obituary for America, wife of Abner N. Welch? America died January 12, 1911 in Craighead County. Thanks for any help determining the maiden name of America Welch, wife of Abner N. Welch.
