New information has come to light. There was something that had been tossing around in my head and that was the fact David "Frate" Gibson was probably married more than once. I had down he married Mandy in 1887 in Craighead Co., Arkansas, but I knew there were 4 children born to him before that year. One of the Census records shows it was David’s second marriage and Mandy’s second marriage. They had both been married to other people before.

Now new questions have come up. His first wife was Elizabeth born in 1845 in Tennessee. I will have to find out what her last name was and who her family is.
It shows in the 1880 Census record that David's sister-in-law Eliza Thomas was residing with him and Elizabeth. That is also a new question. Was Thomas, Elizabeth's maiden name or had her sister Eliza been married to a man with the last name Thomas?

It was also a second marriage for Mandy. I need to find out if Hankins was indeed her maiden name or her other married name. Did she have any children in the first marriage?

There is more to come as I search on the family data. If anyone knows more on this please let me know. Thanks, Kathie
