I am searching for information on my great grandfather, David A Wright. He died when my grandfather was young and we don't have much information on him. What I have been able to find out and what I have been told is the following. He was born c 1848 in either Missouri or Tennessee, he was married twice. His first wife died, I do not know her name or where she was born or died at. They had two sons ( that I know of) who supposedly went to California in the last gold rush. His second wife's name was Julia Ann Solomon. They had three sons, two who died in early childhood. I think they were named John and Samuel. I have been told that David A Wright sold part of his land so that a Delta could be built. I don't know the accuracy of this however. I do know that in 1892 they were living in the Jonesboro area because that is where my grandfather Edward Thomas Wright was born. I don't know what year he died in but in the 1900 census for Texas his wife and son showed up. If anyone has any information that would help me in my research I would certainly appreciate the help.
