I am looking for the Smith's that were from the Caraway, Black Oak, and Cherry Valley Area. All that is know is my Great Great Grandfather was a store owner in the Caraway Arkansas Area, we believe this is the store that is now on State Street in Caraway Arkansas.
The only thing we are not for sure of is if his name was J. W. Smith or Charley Smith. We do know that his son worked for him because on my mother's birth cert. it states that he was a store clerk. His name was Thomas Edward Smith. Thomas Edward Smith married Stella Mae Gwaltney *aka - Gaultney* and they had Dorothy Louise Smith and Esther Smtih.
My mom has since past away but my Aunt Esther states the last time she seen her dad was when she was about 8 years old. My mother was born Jan. 1930 and Esther was born 1932. Their mother (Stella) was born in March of 1912 so Thomas had to been born around that time too.
