Looking for information on Andrew Eli Porter, born July 12, 1834 in South Carolina. He married Harriett Bishop Sims, widow of W.J. Sims, between 1860 and 1865. This family lived in Fayette County, AL, Attala County MS, and in Craighead County AR. Andrew died on May 1, 1889 in Craighead County and is buried in the Black Oak Cemetery.
Andrew and Harriett had children: Phelia, James H., Rhodia "Francis", Minnie Belle (married Charlie Thomas), Gilroy, Enoch "Marvin", Hendrix Andrew, and John Wesley.
Would like to find Andrew's parents, where in South Carolina he was born, etc.
