Hi Jeane,
Just read your old post about the Britt families. My Greatgrandmother was the daughter of John Harrison Britt and Jane Adeline Thompson. My Greatgrandmother was Alcie Elizabeth Britt. She first married Martin Vanburen Sutton and had one child. The child was Jane Adeline Sutton. Alcie's husband Martin Vanburen Sutton died in the Civil War. Later Alcie Elizabeth Britt Sutton married William Fagan Dodson he was a widower that had been married to Lucinda Lollar and had several children. William Fagan Dodson and Alcie E Britt Sutton Dodson only had one child Paul Dodson. One of the sons of William Fagan Dodson, Joseph P Dodson married Jane Adeline Sutton (step brother and sister). My Dad Sam Dodson was one of the children of Joseph P Dodson and Jane Adeline Sutton Dodson. John Harrison Britt and Jane Adeline Thompson Britt were my GGGrandparents.
The info that I have is that most if not all of the children of John Britt and Lutilda White Britt were born in SC and GA none in AR.
How are you related to the Britt's ???
