I am sorry to hear about your death, my heart goes out to you. Yes, I am kin to Norben Young, he was closer kin to my grandfather than to me. I`m not sure where exactly we fall in place together. I`m thinking he may have been my Grandfathers 1st or 2nd cousin. I have heard of the Harpers as I am from the Calhoun-Magnolia area. I lived there most of my life and return there as frequently as possible as I still have close family there. Now I try and make it into a geneology trip when I go. As of a matter of fact I just returned from there today. I won`t be able to help you out any on your Harper side. I have no direct relations with the Harpers on my direct lineage. Its quite possible that the Harpers migrated with the Paschalls when they migrated from Georgia. I very well understand the intermarrying of cousins, you`ll never hear me critize ones who did this as I am kin to everyone that has ever lived in the Calhoun area. You married the ones you knew since the only means of traveling was either wagon, horse, or mostly by walking. For this reason you married sometimes your third or sometimes second cousin because either he or her was the closest person you knew of. This is my heritage and I do not take it lightly. If I can help you in any other way I will be glad to do so.
Sincerely,
Larry Young
