I am trying to locate my gr-gr-grandparents graves. They are William Henry Hollingsworth and Charlotte (Phillips) Hollingsworth. They are listed on the 1880 Census for Brown Township. I also know that their son, my gr-grandfather, Dawson A. Hollingsworth, was born in Magnolia. Charlotte died 13 Jun 1893 in Columbia Co, then the surviving family members moved to Ouachita Parish, LA, around 1900. When William Henry died in Shreveport, LA, on 7 Dec 1932, his death certificate states that he was buried in Ashdown, AR. However, I have found that this does not appear to be true as I have had a couple of people in Little River Co try and locate them, to no avail. Furthermore, I was told by my late grandfather that William was buried back in Arkansas with Charlotte.
I called the Wellman Funeral Home in Shreveport, only to be informed that all records prior to 1947, if memory serves me correctly, were burned when the funeral parlor caught fire. I am taking a shot in the dark that they are buried somwhere in Columbia Co. If anyone can provide any information, it would be greatly appreciated.
