My great-grandfather was Frances Marion (Monk) Wells born JUne 22,1860, died Dec. 7, 1946 he was the son of William Thomas Wells. They lived at Vincent Chapel. Member of the Masonic Lodge at Cleveland, a farmer. The Wells family came from Georgia in mid 1800's. William Thomas died when Monk was two. He was raised by Hawkins Gregory. Monk first married Susan Burns . This is where my grandfather comes in. ( Tom Wells who married Etter Philpot) My father Arlie was one of his and her children.
