Ashford Pettit my great-grandfather passed away on 12 Sep 1894. I'm looking for an obituary or any document that might list who Ashford's parents were. His children were John A, Caleb, James Matthew, Nathan, William Nathaniel, Elmira, Zachariah Taylor, Joseph C, Robert, Ascenath, Franklin Andrew, & Allisen Plot. If there is anyone that has access to papers that were printed in Arkansas during 1894 that could do a look up for me on this I would greatly appreciate it. James Matthew, Zachariah, & Joseph & possibly Frank all moved to the Van Buren/Cleburne county area from Alabama. Zack & Joseph married Weems sisters and both remarried after moving to Arkansas. Zack to Mary Ann Ritter in Pope County & Joseph to a Lockard. Ascenath married a Pruitt and moved to Texas. Allisen may have also moved to Texas.
