Trish, I don't know if this wil help, but my Great-Grandma: Etta Mae Bruce-York b. 8 Sept 1879; mar. John Wesley York; d.7-Sept 1940 had an older sister named: Bertha Bruce who married: Walter Vowell. I don't know any info on Bertha or Walter yet...except that they were married. They lived in and around Rector AR & Greenway AR which are both in Clay Co., AR. She was from either White or Gallatin Co., Ill. That is where her father, mother, brothers and sisters were from. I will have to ask Etta's 89 y/o daughter if she knows what happened to them because she knew them both. I don't know if they they stayed in Clay or returned to IL.
