Alney Lee Tanner death in river

"19 Jan 1912 Palatka News... A.L. Tanner and Horace Owens have moved from here to the Dr. Stewart farm in Ripley County, MO."

"Oct 30, 1914 Palatka News... A.L. Tanner, wife and babe, of Buncombe, were visiting friends and shopping here"

"Saturday.Lauderdale Co Enterprise--- 5 May 1915- Lightfoot Locals------ Mrs. V. T. Lightfoot was called to Palatka, Ark., Thursday of last week by the death of her brother, Mr. Alvin Tanner. He died Thursday 29 April 1915."

We know Alney Tanner live in Palatka from these articles but we can not find where he is buried. We are sure he was not carried back to Lauderdale County, Tennessee for burial so he shoud be there in Clay County. We were told by family members that he 'was drowned in the river when he or his wagon was tangled in the horses reins while crossing'. The story, you would assume, would make the local paper. We would love any information anyone could find to let us know how our GreatUncle died and where he was put to rest.
Thank you for any help you can give us.
carla
