elva hargate

I need extreme help. I am trying to locate my husband's grandmother and can only find her in the 1930 Federal Census and the ARkansas divorce files 1938. Elva's maiden name was Knight (father was Joe and mother Sue--I am looking for them as well). Elva was born in Tennessee or so the census claims. She married Dime Hargate in 1913? in Corning I think. They seemed to have lived in Clay co. from 1913 ish to at least 1938. Supposedly Elva died around the time of the divorce which makes no sense.
Their children were Edgar (1915), Juanita, Irene, and Alma. Any information on Elva or her parents would be appreciated. I have run out resources or just don't know where to look. I have run Elva for the ARkansas death index and she does not appear--only adding to the mystery. Did she die or did she move after the divorce?

Thanks,
Sue Morris
