Delaney, I'm curious as to where she got the information on the name of Mitchell Cemetery. Although I live in Texas now, I grew up in Clay Co., Piggott, AR. My Grandparents grew up in Greenway and at one time my Grandpa lived real close to the Mitchell Cemetery. My Greatgrandpa' half sister was married to Solan Mitchell. According to my Grandpa, it was some of Solan Mitchell's folks who donated the land for the cemetery. There was a piece of land between where my Grandpa lived and the cemetery that my Grandpa called the "old Winton place". I wonder if that is where she got Winston from? I know they have opened up a new section, but I don't know if that is a part of the original land donated. Do you? The majority of my folks are buried there in Greenway. My Mother was buried there eight years ago and she's in the new section and so are some other relatives. I was visiting my sister in Piggott 13 months ago, and I visited my relatives graves while I was there. I didn,t see any name change as I drove up the hill to the cemetery. I'm not trying to be rude. I'm just curious. I think I'll post amessage to her. I also noticed the name: Alcorn. Is that your maiden name? Are you from Greenway or do you have relatives from there? The reason I ask; is because my Great Aunt used to teach school in and around Greenway and I have to old Photographs of two young women. A Beulah Alcorn and a Flossie Alcorn and under Flossie's there is a "-Jewell". Please let me know if you have any info, I would greatly appreciate it. My email is

Thanks, Mary Sootoo
