Thank you so much for the information. Yes, I would really appreciate information on the other families you mentioned -- including the colored family. Do you have any info on James Sinkler (husband of Essie Parmley). I know they resided in Piggott Arkansas for many years and are buried in the Piggott cemetery. Essie's mother, Martha Powell Parmley was born in Saline County, IL and Essie's father, Henry Parmley was born in Galatia, IL. That's where I reach a roadblock. The Sinkler family supposedly was f.k.a. "Sinclair" during former generations (I have no documentation to prove this). James Sinkler's father, Henry, and mother, Betty Woodland lived in Missouri. There again, I'm stuck. I'm new to all this, but am determined to leave my children with solid information regarding their heritage.
