ROFFE, BARBER, Mary Drucilla, Abt. 1880

I'm searching for a needle in a haystack. My grandmother, Mary Drucilla Barber, married my grandfather, John Thomas Porterfield, in Fulton County, Arkansas in about 1905. We do not know where she came from. All we know is that she was married before to a man whose last name was Roffe. She had three children by this marriage, two died very young, and her son, Robert, died at age nineteen. Mr. Roffe (John, I think) disappeared and she was told he was dead. She did not believe it, and obtained a divorce before she married John Thomas Porterfield. A family bible lists her parents names as Buck Barber and Mary Chadwick.
I am looking in Clay County because in a list of Clay County marriages there was a bridegroom Roffe and a bride Barber. Has anyone heard of this family. Any clues would be greatly appreciated.
