I am searching for information on John Patrick Haines that married Margaret Davis in Clay Co. Arkansas in 1893/4. They had one daughter, Winnifred B Haines that was b. in Rector in 1895. John Haines was working for the railroad company that built the bridge over the St. Francis River. Family story has John Haines murdered about 1900 after a card game on a river boat, his daughter is taken in after his death by a Dr. Bone and his wife Lottie. The widow of John Haines married a co worker on the railroad named Waldridge. Could anyone provide me with the name of the local newspaper of the time and a number of the Rector Historical Society?
