My ggrandfather & ggrandmother Jim and Josephine Rice Tanner (Josie) lived at Success in the late 1890's or early 1900's.
They had five children that I know of. They
were Gene or Eugene, Harry, Charles (Glad),
Jesse and Lu or Luella.
I do not have any history on Gene. Harry died
while still a young boy. Charles (GLAD) died
at Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1948. Jesse was
my grandfather and he died at Oran, Missouri
in 1927. Lu married a Stephens (Do not know
his first name) while living at Success and
they moved to Batesville, Arkansas.
I am trying to find out who the parents were
of my ggrandfather. I believe that he and Josie where married in Shelby co. Illinois.
They also lived in Bell City, Mo. and in Oklahoma.
