Sorry for the delay. The Holidays have kept me tied up. I have been out of town. I have a lot of William Hollis's.
Here are two that are close to the date of 1879 for your William -
William Seth Hollis b. abt. 1877 unknown. His parents are Cary P. Hollis & Adelia A. Haydon Hollis. Cary b. 1845 MO, d. abt. 1900 MO. Adelia b. abt. 1847 MO, d. unknown
I also have a William R. Hollis b. abt. 1876 in AR. His parents are William B. Hollis & Louisa E. (surname unk.) Hollis. William B. was b. 20 July 1833 in TN, d. abt. 1899 in AR. Louisa E. was b. abt. 1840 in TN d. unk.
