Thanks for the information. What I'm trying to find is an obit for Byron and/or Miranda. We know Miranda is buried in Carrollton Cemetery and that a rock marks her grave, as it has since her death in 1916. That will be taken care of this week, in fact, when a stone is ordered to be placed there.
I have never been able to find, or at least prove, Byron's Mother, Elizabeth, maiden name. Feel it could be on a death certificate or possibly even in an obit for Byron.
Would love to find an obit for Elizabeth.
William Alexander Hamilton (b.1795 Scotland) and his wife, Elizabeth lived in Illinois and are found in census there. By 1876 they were moving south and were in Kansas. By 1880 they moved to Arkansas, however, William Alexander Hamilton did not appear in the 1870 Illinois census and we feel he was deceased by then.
Finding an obit for Elizabeth might give us her maiden name.
It's difficult to get all of this straightened out, but is something that we continue to work on.
If you have ideas on where we might find obits in Arkansas for them, we would appreciate the info.
Thanks again.
