The 1880 census of Carroll Co., AR., has Byron Hamilton and family living in the town of Carrollton. That is in Carroll Co., not Boone Co.Carroll County is a little bit odd in the fact that it has 2 county seats. One is at Berryville and the other is at Eureka Springs. They have court houses in both towns, and I don't know what records they keep where. If there is an obit. for Mr. Hamilton, I would think you could find it in the archives of a Carroll Co. newspaper.Three Hamilton graves are recorded in the Carrollton Cemetery.Byron, Elizabeth, and Tryphosa. This is not to say that other family members are not buried there, only not marked for someone to record.Elizabeth, I would guess, being born in 1808, might be the mother of Byron. There is no doubt who Tryphosa is, she was Byrons granddaughter. She was listed as such in the 1880 census. In 1880, she was only 5 months old, living with her grandparents. She only lived until Sept. 1881.If you need more info. about 1880 census, just let me know.Hope this helps,Bob Ruff
