Hello,

On pages 202-203 of the book History of Boone County, Arkansas with a narrative by Roger V. Logan, Jr., it states that in 1873, a 75-wagon train left Fannin County, GA bringing the family of Walton Cox to Arkansas, and that this Walton Cox was born in 1826 in Wilkes County, NC and moved to Fannin County, GA in 1847:

There are several paragraphs describing this family in great detail, as well as several other Cox families. I also count about 100 different individuals in the index of this book with the last name of "Cox", so he may be related to some or all of these individuals. I also find Baker:Troutt:Saffell:Thomason individuals indexed in this book as well.

Hope this helps,
