A couple of resources you may find helpful:
On pages 25-26 of History of Boone County, Arkansas with a narrative by Roger V. Logan, Jr., there is a section on the history of Bellefonte, and it lists A. F. Sewell among others as a landowner in the early 1870s.
Also, the Boone County Historian Vol. VI No. II 1983 includes The History of Bellefonte by Virginia Louise Stark, with several pages and pictures on the town’s history. This article states that “Mr. Sewell” was the first mayor of Bellefonte (your A. F. Sewell perhaps?)
