I am seeking any information on the Langston Hamby or Lawston Hambey family who were listed as living in Roller Ridge Township in Benton County, Arkansas at the time of the 1860 U.S. Census. They appear as: Lawston Hambey, age 45 [b. 1815 in] NC Nancy Hambey, age 45 [b. 1815 in] NC William Hambey, age 18 [b. 1842 in] NC Thomas Hambey, age 16 [b. 1844 in] NC Becky(?)Hambey, age 14 [b. 1846 in] NC Betty Hambey, age 12 [b. 1848 in] NC Franklin Hambey, age 8 [b. 1852 in] NC Andy Hambey, age 5 [b. 1855 in] NC Sarah Hambey, age 2 [b. 1858 in] ARK The family originally came from Wilkes county, North Carolina, and was in Gilmer County, Georgia at the time of the 1850 U.S. Census. In that Census they appear as: Langston A. Hamby, age 32 [b. 1818 in] NC Nancy Hamby, age 34 [b. 1816 in] NC Martha Hamby, age 14 [b. 1836 in] NC William Hamby, age 9 [b. 1841 in] NC Thomas Hamby, age 6 [b. 1844 in] NC Edeth Hamby, age 5 [b. 1845 in] NC Elizabeth Hamby, age 4 [b. 1846 in] NC Ruben Hamby, age 6/12 [b. 1850 in] GA Martha Hamby was my great-great grandmother.
