I have found Harvey Gooden (my g g grandfather) listed in the 1850 census in Fulton County, Big North Fork twsp as Harvey Goodwin. He is shown as age 24 with wife age 19 and likely a sister at age 13. James Cockrum is also living in that twsp. I am not sure if there was a name change that occured at that time or if that can be credited to illiteracy or simply human error but I am confident that it is he. I do not have the 1860 census but would love to see what it shows. I do have the entire state of Arkansas "every name" census for 1850 and will be more that willing to assist anyone who may need a lookup from that publication. I recieved lots of books that I hope will be of help on our genealogical journies. I have all volumes of the Turnbo Tales and others I will list later. I have ordered the "Biographical Sketches of the Ozark Region" which also will be of help to many of us.
Happy New Year to all!
