Barbara,

Thank you for doing so much more research than just looking for a marriage date.

I've already looked at the census and marriage records for Calhoun County and Union County, AR. Plus I've been in touch with direct descendants of Denisha Partee Webb Blackstock Swafford and Reuben Monroe Webb. Unfortunately, the descendant of Denisha P. Webb did not have a full name for Denisha and James Ezekiel Webb's mother; hence, my desire to find out what her full name was.

Denisha P. Webb, b. 19 Dec 1854, was from the first marriage of James Roy Webb and Frances ?, while Reuben M. Webb, b. 7 Nov 1861, was a child of the second marriage of James R. Webb to Frances Ann Hill. James R. Webb and Frances A. Hill had six children altogether.

James Ezekiel Webb died sometime after 1886. He and his wife, Josephine Cranford, had four children. I don't know why he didn't show up on the 1870 census record unless he wasn't home at the time or he could have been living with some of his relatives.

Yes, all of us have noticed that Denisha was listed as "Donnie, male 16" on the 1870 census record. There is no telling how that came about either.

I noticed all of the Hills on the 1860 Ashley County census also. I may start with them and try to find some link, as it would be worth a try.

Another item that has been confusing to me is the fact that on the 1900 Calhoun County census record, Frances A. Webb states that she had born five children and that four were still living. That is in conflict with the six children that has been attributed to this couple.

At any rate, there is definitely some information lacking for James R. Webb and his wives and children, which may not surface in my lifetime.

I do appreciate your help in this matter, as well as your insight.
