I am looking for information regarding my granfather, Benjamin Franklin Hoover, 25 Dec 1882, Hot Springs, Garland Cty, AR. As the story was told me by my parents, my grandfather and his parents were traveling from Hot Springs into the Indian Nations around 1885/1890, when the wagon they were traveling in overtured and killed both of his parents. He was taken in by the Jessie Snell family and can be found there as a boarder in the 1900 Indian Territory census. He applied for a Social Security Card in 1938 and listed his parents as Ben Henry Hoover and mother as Josephine.
I have nothing else, I hope that someone out there has researched an Arkansas line that can tie into mine.
