Sue,
I do not have much on my KING line.I have Wigton KING and Elizabeth KING parents of Elizabeth KING b. abt. 1810 and Mary KING b. abt. 1800.In 1830 Census of Arkansas County, Arkansas, believe the mother Elizabeth living with her son John KING (he as head of the house) her shown as the only woman or girl listed in 40 - 50 year old bracket, so do not believe John to be married at this time.Elizabeth looks to be separated from Wigtonat this time as he is found in Jefferson County, Arkansas by hiself. In the 1830 census John KING also has three other males listed in the house one in the 20-30 year old bracket, one in the 15 - 20 year old bracket, and one in the 10 - 15 year old bracket. The two known daughters of Wigton and Elizabeth are married by this time. There could have been more than the two girls, but your Amanda seems to be far younger. This family is in Arkansas Post, Arkansas by 1814. They could very well be related to your Amanda, but can not see a connection as yet.
Sorry I am not much help to you.I also am in California and find Arkansas area hard to find information on.Good luck in your search.
Barbara
