DAMPIER FAMILY/1820's ARKANSAS help!
Posted by: Susan Date: August 08, 2000 at 17:09:15

I have found that William Dampier of the 1790 Census had several sons. One
of these sons was named Samuel Dampier. Samuel was granted land in Arkansas
for his service in the war of 1812. does anyone know where in Arkansas? or where I can start looking for this information?

What I am now seeking is information regarding Samuel's son Joseph.... I would like to know if Joseph was married... and to who...and if he had land ... or any children .. and what religion the Dampier's were, so I can look up marriages.. baptisms?

Is there a place i can get census for 1820... Arkansas?

Thanks for your help, Susan
