George Beatty ws born in England and married Sarah Campbell who was born in New Brunswick, Canada. They had 10+ children of which one was Sarah Elizabeth Beatty.
Now Sarah was born May 7, 1850/51 in either Eastport, Maine or Campobello, NB, Canada and died 1908 in Portland, Maine. She married Daniel H. Apt on 4/1/1869 in Eastport, Maine. He was born June 20, 1842 in Eastport, Maine. They had 12 children of which one was Kathleen Elinor Apt.
Now Kathleen was born 8/26/1888 in Eastport, Maine and died 4/17/1946 in Rochester, NY. she married Barron W. Brodin(e) who was born 3/15/1875 in Gothenburg, Sweden and died 4/15/1932 in Pittsford, NY. They had 6 children of which one was your father.
Going back to Daniel Apt for just a moment, Work records from 1889, 1890 and 1891 show that he was working aboard the steamer 'New Brunswick' as a mate and the port was located in Portland, Maine. Census records on Daniel Apt show that he was living in Washington County, Eastport, Maine during the 1840's, 1850's, and 1860's.
