Joel Appling, born in Georgia and moved to
Kentucky, father of James Appling,
born in Kentucky,who who moved to and homesteaded
around 1832 in Laclede County (Lebanon), MO.
father of:Miles Littleton Appling,father of:
John Guy Appling,father of: Miles Luthy Appling
(1924 - ),father of:Miles Phillip Appling
(1953 - ) father of:Miles Matthew Appling (1983 - )
and Aaron Joel Appling (1985 - ) .
Both sons of MPA born in Springfield,Greene County,
Missouri. We now reside in Kansas City, Clay
County, Missouri.

Miles Littleton was a farmer.
John Guy was a farmer and later a grocer.
Miles Luthy was a grocer.
Miles Phillip is a minister, formerly Methodist,
now Cumberland Presbyterian.

Miles Luthy had two sons, the other, John David,
born in 1955 in Ventura, California, now residing
in Lebanon, MO. He was at one time a Methodist
minister, now a computer engineer. He has two sons,
both born in Springfield, MO: Zachariah Danial (1982 - ),
and Benjamen __?__, (1984-_)as well as one still-born
son David in 1993.
