I am descended from Joel Appling through his son Jesse William b-May 28, 1783, Surrey Co. NC married Elizabeth Loyall on Oct. 13, 1808, Clarke Co. GA d-June 26, 1860, Tuscaloosa Co., AL. Joel was supposed to have served in the American Revolution. I joined the DAR on this line, but it has recently been closed as some of the information may not be accurate.

Jesse and Elizabeth had 12 kids: Joel, Leonia, William, Richard W., Susan, John L., Samuel Burrell (my line), Jesse M., Francis B., Mary Elizabeth, Martha Jane and Augustus A.

Joel's parents are Thomas Appling and Susannah.

Thomas' parents are Richard Appling and Elizabeth Premion.

Richard's parents are Thomas Appling and Ann Jennings.

Thomas' parents are Richard Appling and Margaret.

Richard's parents are Richard Applin and Joyce.

Richard's parents are Richard Applin and Hester Pytterd.

I realize that this is sketchy, but there is a lot of info. Let me know your mailing address and what you need and I will get you some more info. You may also give Ian Appling in England a try.

Take Care - Karen Appling-Hand
