We are talking about the same family but I think you have a few of the facts mixed up. Julia Etta Clements' parents were William Clements and Julia Ann Kirby Clements. They had five children: Mary (called Mate), Jennie (called Daught), Elmer, Enoch, and Julia Etta. Julia was my grandmother and she married John A Appling in 1896. They had three children: Grace, George, and William. John A. died and Julia married Norman C. Hoyt. He had nine children from a previous marriage. Julia and Norman had one child: James C. Hoyt (my dad). I have my grandma's (Julia Etta) line traced back to Geoffrey Clement born in 1570 in England. He married Elizabth Fuller.
